About
Northern Westchester Chinese School (NWCS) was founded in February 1969 by several Chinese families of IBM’S Research Division. The school first started under the name"Yorktown Chinese School" at Mohansic Elementary School with one teacher and 21 students. As the school expanded, it moved several times and is now held at Briarcliff Middle School. In looking back over the past 50+ years, we are proud of our school's legacy and heritage in providing Chinese language, education, and cultural exposure to the younger generations. It is an open, welcoming, friendly environment that has attracted many families with diverse backgrounds.
